Views sought on South East Leaders' Board

The interim South East England Leaders' Board (SEELB) which also currently acts as the South East England Councils Executive, was established early last year. From 1st April 2010, one representative of the SE region's National Parks will also become a member of SEELB. 

Since the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act became law in November 2009, Leaders' Boards across England are required to carry out a formal consultation to seek views on their current structure and operation. Views received will assist Leaders' Boards in finalising their operational arrangements (termed the 'Scheme') before submission to the Secretary of State by 1 April 2010. As advised by GOSE, consultation in the South East will be open for five weeks, concluding on 3rd March. 

The current South East England Leaders’ Board (SEELB) scheme and the proposed amendments that we are seeking to make can be downloaded from the links below, as well as the Government Guidance document and current structure chart. Comments on the proposals should be submitted by 3rd March to:
