Monthly updates

Short monthly update statements will be provided to keep you informed of the study's progress.

February-April 2010

Tasks completed include an assessment of study area challenges, analysis of impacts of planned growth, identification of transport outputs that meet key regional outcomes, incorporation of emerging work on the A27 at Chichester, appraisal of option packages, and development of preferred investment scenarios.  A draft Interim report was also submitted to the Regional Transport Board for its meeting on 12 March 12 March 2010.

January 2010

Data collection continued since the December update which helped to define the key problems, issues and challenges for the West Sussex Coast study area. Consultation with key stakeholders began during January to validate the problems and key DaSTS challenges identified from the evidence and data collection process. Further consultation with stakeholders will take place into February to identify the potential measures to overcome and address the identified challenges.

December 2009

The study is well underway. This involves a review of existing planning and strategy documents to understand key issues and challenges for the study area.

In January an issues and challenges workshop will be held which will involve key partners and stakeholders.  This workshop will allow the issues and challenges to be discussed and ensure all key aspects have been identified throughout the review process.
