Monthly updates

Short monthly update statements will be provided to keep you informed of the study's progress.

February-April 2010

The key task completed since the January update has been the draft Interim report which was submitted to the Regional Transport Board for its meeting on 12 March 2010.  The Interim report covers the high level challenges derived from the evidence base; sets out the emerging strategic outcomes and strategy responses and sets out option packages for investment and further work.

January 2010

Data collection continued since the December update which helped to define the key problems, issues and challenges for Thames Valley study area. Consultation with stakeholders during January initially focused on identifying and validating the problems and then confirmed the key DaSTS challenges which need to be addressed. Further consultation with stakeholders has begun to identify the potential measures needed to overcome and address the identified challenges.

December 2009

The study is progressing through the assembly of evidence and data on transport, planning and regional economics stage.  The first of two stakeholder workshops has taken place. The outcomes of which will feed into the initial problems, issues and challenges scoping.
