The Partnership Board is required to carry out a sustainability appraisal (SA) to inform the South East England Strategy (the regional strategy). The SA is designed to balance the environmental, economic and social costs and benefits of the policies set out by the Strategy.

To support the development of the SA, an SA sounding board has been established with key economic, social and environmental stakeholders. It also acts as an independent voice in the process and advises the Partnership Board. For further details on the SA Sounding Board please see the Terms of Reference below.
